Gracie PR FAQs

  • What is the length of Gracie PR's contracts?

Depending on the service, it varies! Here’s a little breakdown:

Full Public Relations Retainer: We offer these retainers for six months and 12 months, and they can be continually renewed.

Essential PR: Essential PR is our “Starter PR” service that is offered at a one-time six-month contract across all available tiers – Mini, Micro, Macro.

  • How long will it take for me to begin seeing media placements?

We work with various media outlets across digital, print, broadcast, and podcast. Each platform operates differently with lead times for stories, though the moment your contract begins, that’s when we get to work. Our clients generally begin seeing media placements roll in during the 6th week of working with us, though depending on the current news cycle and your industry you may see those results sooner or later. We provide both short-lead and long-lead pitching for our clients. Short-lead pitches are focused on timely and relevant topics that fall within a 2-month time frame whereas long-lead pitches are focused on timely and relevant topics that are 3-6 months out.

  • How much do you charge for your services?

The cost of a public relations firm is and should be considered a strategic investment for the growth of your brand. We offer different price points across all of our services! Our monthly public relations retainer starts at $5,000 per month.

We also offer our tiered “Starter PR” services, Essential PR, at $1,600 per month.

  • Do you provide any discounts for services?

All clients who sign a 12-month contract with Gracie PR receive a 10% discount on their monthly retainer!

Essential PR clients can take advantage of a free month of service when they pay in full at the start of their six-month commitment.

  • What's the difference between public relations and marketing?

The ultimate goal of marketing is to increase sales through campaigns such as social media advertising, SEO, email marketing, and social media marketing.

Public relations is used to develop positive brand awareness and build credibility through effective messaging and creative storytelling. One of the main components of public relations is media relations (AKA earned media). Gracie PR utilizes our relationships with journalists, writers, editors, and producers to turn a client’s core messaging, values, and mission into a compelling story for the media to cover.

  • Why is public relations important for my business?

Public relations and earned media take more time and dedication than paid media. However, the trust and credibility you’re building are worth both the time and the investment.

Earned media is incredibly unique in that you are not running a paid digital campaign, you are garnering strategic third-party press coverage that displays your brand as a credible source and an expert in your field.

  • How do you measure ROI in public relations?

Public relations can be tricky to measure as we’re in the business of building credibility and garnering meaningful brand exposure, however, we do track our success through the following methods:

    – Coverage Views

    – Domain Authority of Digital Outlets

    – Online Readership of Digital Outlets

    – Circulation of Print Outlets

    – Viewership of Broadcast Outlets

    – Podcast Listenership, Average Monthly Listeners, and Podcast Chart Positions

    – Newsletter Subscribers

    – Social Media Engagement

    – Website Traffic

  • Why should I hire a public relations company?

Public relations professionals work persistently to build and maintain meaningful relationships with media contacts which leads to innate expertise in identifying appropriate contacts and communicating quickly, creatively, and effectively.

Hiring a public relations company can save you a lot of time (which is the most valuable thing for a business owner!) Public relations is tedious and intentional and doesn’t happen overnight. Handing it off to the pros, who will help you share your story is invaluable.
